I have found the Topology function update to be a welcome addition to my Phoenix Lite 2. While not necessary to the overall function of the scanner, Topology does offer a nice feel upgrade to the device, making the Phoenix Lite 2 feel like a more higher end device. My favorite thing I like about the Topology addon is the visual effect of the different modules being scanned. I feel this will let me know in a visual manner if there are communication problems with individual modules or the network at the time of the scan. It is also good to note that if I prefer, a more traditional scan can still be performed without using the Topology addon. Overall, I have found the Phoenix Lite 2 to be a very capable scanner for the level of work I do and the Topology addon just adds another nice touch to the device without me having to invest in a more expensive device just to get this feature. Topology seems to be the industry standard now for many scanners above the level of the Phoenix Lite 2. For that reason alone, that makes this addon a welcome addition to my scanner.
