TOPDON Boosts Resolution on Thermal Imagers

Clarity and sharpness are critical when using a thermal imager. Whether diagnosing a technical issue or spotting wild game in the field, being able to clearly identify and translate heat signatures with confidence is a huge advantage in achieving your goals.

Recently, TOPDON substantially upgraded the resolution of several of our thermal imaging tools. Using Thermal Image Super Resolution (TISR) software, we were able to enhance the resolution of your existing TOPDON tools without requiring a costly investment in new hardware.

The difference is considerable. The TC001, for example, leaps from 256 x 192 to 512 x 384 resolution with an update to the latest TopInfrared app. The handheld TC004 jumps from 256 x 192 to 320 x 240 resolution, which can be enabled by turning on the TISR switch on the device. Outdoorsmen will appreciate the bump in the TS004 thermal monocular camera’s resolution from 256 x 192 to 320 x 240, available by holding down the “M” button on the device.

On some of TOPDON’s thermal imaging devices the upgrade is still in development, so check back later this year for the latest news. Thermal imagers are your eyes on an unseen world of varying temperatures, and with TOPDON’s new TISR you can see with maximum clarity and unlock the potential of all your devices.
